About Emma

Known for her physical comedy and total commitment to the “bit,” she has been described as “nothing short of hysterically funny” (Berkshire Bright Star). Emma has been seen regionally and in NYC at venues such as The Sharon Playhouse, Pendragon Theater, Denizen Theatre, The Brick, The Chain Theater, and The Theater Barn. She has been studying theatrical clown since 2014, and strives to bring her playful yet razor sharp sensibility to her work on stage and in the rehearsal room.

Most recently, Emma put that clowny background to work in Something Rotten at The Sharon Playhouse, which won the Berkshire Theatre Critics Association Award for Outstanding Production of a Musical. Her role of “Haggard Woman '' was uncredited, but probably won this award for the company (You’re all welcome!).

Originally from the Hudson Valley, NY, Emma began performing in local productions from a young age. She went on to earn a BM Vocal Performance from The Crane School of Music, where she performed in a lot of operas and also went to many parties. Probably too many, but no regrets!!! She won some awards and some competitions and even got to sing in a castle one time!

She is a graduate of The Studio/New York Conservatory Program and holds an MA in Applied Theatre from CUNY. She has studied with master teachers such as Jim Calder, Philippe “The Tormentor” Gaulier, Chris Bayes, Fay Simpson, and Beth McGuire. She trains and performs regularly in NYC with Wufpack, a clown company directed by Zack Fine.

But most importantly, she has a rescue dog named Frannie. She’s the real star.
